coastal clean up Be a part of the world's largest volunteer effort of its kind! Last year, nearly 400,000 volunteers collected more than 7.4 million pounds of trash in 103 countries and 48 U.S. states during the 2009 International Coastal Cleanup. To register for the cleanup, go to Miami-Dade Coast Clean Up and click on "Volunteer Now". Then select the site that you wish to register for and fill out the registration form - you have 42 sites to choose from. Registered volunteers will receive a FREE T-Shirt while supplies last. |

That’s what the new communitywide “V” Movement is all about — the rewards of volunteerism. “V” draws on the collective efforts of government, business and the community to make Miami-Dade County a better place to live. It’s how we, as a people, can take ownership of the place we call home and feel great about doing it. I encourage you to make volunteering a priority in your life. Together through this initiative, we will stir generations, propel a movement and demonstrate how rewarding helping others can be.
